Purchased litres and saleable litres are different quantities. Material left in the supply container, transfer path and filling equipment reduces the amount available for finished bottles.

A hose that looks clean can still contain material from its previous service. Dedicated transfer equipment reduces one route of cross-contamination, but does not establish chemical compatibility.

Returning unused material can contaminate an otherwise traceable supply batch. Once coating enters a working container, its exposure and handling history differ from the original stock.

A filling trial consumes material for setup, adjustment and inspection. Treating all trial output as saleable stock can hide process losses and release packaging that has not been accepted.

Container size affects opening frequency, transfer losses and handling convenience as well as unit price. The lowest price per litre may not give the lowest usable cost.

A warehouse quantity can include units already promised to customers. Purchasing decisions based only on physical stock may create a stockout for the next confirmed order.

A damaged or unexplained seal is a receiving discrepancy that should be recorded before the container is opened. Opening first can remove evidence needed to investigate the delivery.

Topping up a working supply vessel with another batch makes later traceability more complicated. The vessel may then contain material from several production histories.

Filling overrun is the extra material needed beyond nominal saleable volume. Separate intentional process allowance from accidental loss so the next order can be estimated more accurately.

A sample is useful only when its identity matches the product being evaluated. Similar names, revised formulas and different packaging can make an apparently direct comparison misleading.

A closed transfer arrangement may reduce handling exposure, but it must suit the actual formulation and container. Adding pumps or pressure without approval creates new compatibility and operating questions.

When demand exceeds accepted stock, informal allocation can create duplicate promises. A clear allocation record helps sales and dispatch use the same available quantity.
