Bulk Ceramic Coating: Plan a Closed Transfer Discussion with the Supplier

A closed transfer arrangement may reduce handling exposure, but it must suit the actual formulation and container. Adding pumps or pressure without approval creates new compatibility and operating questions.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Describe the required throughput, container arrangement and wetted parts to the supplier. Obtain instructions covering transfer, cleaning, grounding where applicable and safe shutdown.

A buyer wants to replace manual pouring with a pump. The first specification should explain the coating and workflow, rather than select a pump solely by advertised flow rate.

Decision limits

Do not pressurize a shipping container or modify its closure as an improvised transfer system. Use equipment approved for the material and intended operation.
