Bulk Ceramic Coating: Why a Dedicated Transfer Hose Matters

A hose that looks clean can still contain material from its previous service. Dedicated transfer equipment reduces one route of cross-contamination, but does not establish chemical compatibility.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Identify every wetted component, including seals and connectors. Obtain compatibility guidance for the exact formulation and contact time. Keep the equipment identifiable and protected between uses.

A line previously used for shampoo should not automatically be assigned to a solvent-based coating after a quick rinse. Residual water or surfactant may remain inside fittings.

Decision limits

Stop if the cleaning and drying method cannot be verified. An apparently clear first discharge is not proof that the entire transfer system is suitable.
