Bulk Ceramic Coating: Do Not Return Leftovers to the Supply Container

Returning unused material can contaminate an otherwise traceable supply batch. Once coating enters a working container, its exposure and handling history differ from the original stock.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Dispense only the quantity needed for the approved work period. Keep the parent container closed. Record withdrawn quantities and manage leftovers under the manufacturer's instructions.

An installer pours a small amount into an application vessel, then has half left after a cancelled job. Its appearance does not establish that it can safely rejoin the supply batch.

Decision limits

Do not improvise a reuse period or blend leftovers with fresh material. Ask for a disposition based on the product, container, opening time and exposure history.
