Bulk Ceramic Coating: Calculate Filling Overrun Without Hiding Rejects

Filling overrun is the extra material needed beyond nominal saleable volume. Separate intentional process allowance from accidental loss so the next order can be estimated more accurately.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Record nominal finished volume, accepted overfill, setup use, retained samples and rejected units. Reconcile these with the withdrawn bulk quantity after each run.

A run targeting 100 bottles at 50 ml requires 5 litres nominally. Setup and sampling may require additional material, but their quantities should be measured rather than assumed indefinitely.

Decision limits

An allowance is a planning input, not permission to sell underfilled packs. Review recurring unexplained differences before increasing the next allowance.
