The colour of a coating liquid does not reliably identify its formulation, strength or intended surface. Use the product label and current documentation rather than appearance to select or compare materials.

A clear-looking liquid does not reveal every aspect of its composition or physical state. Do not use visual transparency alone to conclude that a coating contains only dissolved material or a single chemical component.

A percentage rise followed by the same percentage fall does not return a quantity to its starting value. Each change applies to a different base.

Material left after a liquid evaporates under informal conditions is not automatically a valid nonvolatile-content result. A quantitative claim requires an appropriate method, controlled conditions and a defined reporting basis.

A conventional percentage-change calculation divides by the baseline. When that baseline is zero, the percentage is undefined, so report the relevant absolute change and context instead of inventing an improvement percentage.

A bottle's nominal capacity and the amount of product supplied are different quantities. Keep container specifications separate from net-content information when reviewing a coating pack or planning an approved filling process.

The simple average of two unit prices is not the average cost of the stock if different quantities were purchased at each price. Weight each price by its corresponding quantity.

An inspection process can flag acceptable units and miss unacceptable ones. Distinguish these outcomes when evaluating the process against a suitable reference assessment.

Technical abbreviations should be defined where they support a purchasing or application decision. An unexplained acronym can create confusion when a document moves between manufacturers, distributors and installers with different backgrounds.

For the curved side of a cylinder, area equals circumference multiplied by length. A front-view rectangle understates the surface that would be treated around the full circumference.

A circular panel's area is pi multiplied by the radius squared. If the supplied dimension is a diameter, divide it by two before calculating the area.

A panel edge has area as well as length. For a uniform flat panel, multiply the included perimeter by its thickness when the edge is part of the approved coating scope.
