Improve intake, documentation, scheduling, quality checks and aftercare for coating jobs.

Presentation images can help explain a result, but keep the original files available so the evidence can be reviewed. Cropping, exposure changes or selective image choice may alter how a coating comparison appears to a viewer.

A customer can prefer one appearance while the technical acceptance criteria address different questions. Record both perspectives so a service review does not confuse personal preference with compliance with the agreed work scope.

A project change should trigger review of the decisions it actually affects. Repeating every check can waste time, while changing one input without reviewing its consequences can leave the work plan internally inconsistent.

A return visit for an existing coating job should remain linked to that job even if it creates a new appointment. Otherwise, workload and quality metrics can make repeat work look like additional new business.

A surface-age entry in a liquid measurement report is not the storage age of the product. It describes the age of the interface being assessed and must remain attached to the reported result.

Two contact-angle reports may use different physical arrangements. A sessile-drop test places liquid on a solid, while a captive-bubble arrangement examines an air bubble beneath a solid immersed in liquid.

Dynamic light scattering reports size through particle motion in a liquid. That hydrodynamic measurement need not match a dimension measured from an image of a prepared particle sample. A difference requires interpretation before either result is rejected.

A particle-size distribution must retain the basis on which it is reported. Intensity, volume and number distributions are different representations, and changing the label can change the apparent meaning of a coating ingredient's size data.

A dynamic light scattering result depends on information about the liquid surrounding the particles, including viscosity. Using an inappropriate input can affect the calculated size even when the instrument completes the measurement successfully.

A zeta-potential result can contribute to understanding a dispersion, but it does not independently establish the shelf life of a finished coating. Storage performance must be evaluated in the actual product and packaging system.

Decide whether a laboratory should report a measured value, an observation, a pass decision or a combination before commissioning a coating test. These outputs answer different questions and require different instructions.

A calibration curve established over one range should not automatically be extended beyond its standards. A result outside that range needs an appropriate analytical response rather than a hidden software extrapolation.
