Writing a Private Label Ceramic Shampoo Development Brief

Define cleaning, protective residue, dilution, rinse behaviour and packaging requirements before discussing a private label ceramic shampoo project.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A ceramic shampoo development brief should explain what the product is expected to do during washing. Does the brand want a shampoo for maintaining an existing coating, or a wash product that also leaves a protective effect? Those are different objectives and should not be hidden behind the same keyword.

Define the wash process

Specify the intended user, application method and surfaces. State whether the product is for a bucket wash, a foam system or another process to be assessed by the manufacturer. Include water conditions, typical soil and the expected rinse and drying routine.

Do not copy another brand’s dilution or dwell instructions into the brief as a requirement without discussing feasibility. The supplier must develop or select a formula appropriate to the complete process.

Separate cleaning from protection

Write distinct acceptance criteria for soil removal, lubrication, rinsing, residue and any intended protective effect. If the product leaves protection, assess dry appearance and subsequent washing as well as immediate water behaviour.

Specify any requirements for matte finishes, PPF, glass or sensitive trim as separate compatibility questions. A general paint-wash result does not establish every surface claim.

Include the package and instructions

State the proposed bottle sizes, closure, dosing method and storage expectations. Ask which technical and safety documentation will apply to the actual supplied product. Evaluate the instructions at the intended dilution, not only the appearance of the concentrate in its bottle.

Keep optional colour or fragrance requests separate so their impact can be reviewed rather than assumed negligible.

Confirm availability before planning a launch

At the time of writing, NANOLAB’s public catalogue lists hydrophobic shampoo as an upcoming product. This article is a project-planning guide, not confirmation of commercial availability, private label terms or a launch date. Submit the brief to NANOLAB to discuss the current status and supported options. Approve the product, documentation and supply plan before advertising a finished shampoo as ready to order.
