Treat colour and fragrance requests as product-development changes, with compatibility, stability, user experience and claim reviews for the exact formula.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Colour and fragrance can help distinguish a private label car-care product, but they are not purely artwork choices. Any requested change should be reviewed by the manufacturer for the exact formula and package. Do not assume that a sample’s application and stability remain unchanged after an additive is introduced.
State whether the aim is range recognition, a particular user experience or separation between products. Consider whether packaging can solve the identification problem without changing the liquid. A strong label and clear product name may be more useful than making several formulas look or smell similar.
Do not describe a pleasant fragrance as evidence that a product is harmless. Handling and protective measures must follow the current safety information.
Provide the requested colour or fragrance direction and intended product use. Let the manufacturer determine feasibility, evaluation requirements and commercial implications. Customisation availability should be confirmed for the project rather than assumed from a general private label offer.
If a new sample is produced, identify its revision clearly. Keep it separate from the previously approved sample and record what changed.
Review appearance, odour acceptability, application behaviour, residue and packaging compatibility through the supplier’s development process. Include the intended dilution and use conditions for a shampoo or other concentrate. Do not approve only the undiluted bottle appearance.
Ask which documentation and label information must be revised for the supplied version. Old technical or safety information should not be carried over without confirmation.
Use colour and fragrance as part of a coherent product experience, not a substitute for evidence about cleaning or coating performance. Keep instructions understandable even if a customer cannot distinguish colours or scents. NANOLAB enquiries should describe the desired outcome and market, allowing the manufacturer to discuss supported options without promising that every aesthetic request can be added to an existing formula unchanged.
