How to Read a Ceramic Coating Technical Data Sheet
Find the information that affects product selection, installation and maintenance, and identify missing details before the job begins.

Confirm identity and revision
Check that the document matches the exact product and version in hand. Family names are not enough when formulas have different finish compatibility or curing requirements. Record the document date or revision with the job information.
Separate a technical data sheet from a safety data sheet. They answer different questions and should be used together.
Read for decisions
Look for intended substrates, finish restrictions, preparation, application amount, working conditions, levelling cues, layer sequence and curing stages. Review storage, usable time after opening and maintenance requirements. Identify any installer training requirement.
For performance values, ask how they were measured and under which conditions. Solids content, pencil hardness and durability are different properties; one should not be converted into another without evidence.
Resolve gaps before application
If a required document is unavailable, request current written instructions from NANOLAB. If two sources disagree, do not choose whichever timing is more convenient. Record the clarification and use it consistently. Reading the sheet should produce a clear job plan with defined surfaces, steps and waiting periods, not simply a collection of impressive specification numbers.
