Dried polish at a bottle nozzle should not be pushed onto the pad. Keep the dispensing path clean so the next dose matches the product’s intended condition.

Assess the starting condition

Inspect the cap and nozzle before dispensing. Distinguish material dried at the opening from separation in the bulk liquid. Check the label’s storage and mixing instructions without adding water or solvents to recover the product.

A practical working method

  1. Keep the nozzle closed between uses and clean it by the manufacturer’s recommended method.
  2. Remove external dried residue away from pads and prepared paint.
  3. Dispense a small inspection sample into a clean suitable container if the flow looks abnormal.
  4. Quarantine a bottle with persistent unusual texture and ask the supplier for advice.

Common mistake

Squeezing harder can eject an old crust into otherwise clean polish. Picking at the nozzle over the working pad moves the debris into the process.

What a useful result looks like

A useful routine delivers identifiable, correctly stored material without visible contamination. Record the bottle code and opening date when investigating a fault; do not turn a nozzle problem into an undocumented formula modification.
