Planning Pilot Installations Before a Coating Brand Launch
Validate a private label coating offer through representative pilot installations that test instructions, packaging and customer handover.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge
Pilot installations test the complete product offer, not just the liquid. They reveal whether the intended users can follow the instructions, manage the package and explain aftercare consistently before a wider launch.
Select representative jobs
Choose surfaces and users that reflect the approved product brief. Do not build the entire pilot around one exceptionally easy vehicle or the most experienced installer. Keep the scope within the surfaces and conditions confirmed for the product.
Record the vehicle condition, preparation and product reference for each job. Use the same version of the instructions and identify any coaching required during application. Coaching may solve the immediate issue while revealing a document that needs improvement.
Assess the full sequence
Observe bottle handling, application, removal and final inspection. Record material consumption and the time spent on each stage without converting one trial into a universal productivity claim.
Include the handover. Ask the customer to explain when the first wash is allowed and how they will maintain the finish. Revisit the job after an appropriate first-wash interval to check whether the instructions were understood.
Resolve issues before scaling
Group findings into product questions, packaging issues, unclear instructions and training needs. Confirm technical changes with NANOLAB and repeat affected checks after revision. An unresolved compatibility concern should not be hidden by a successful appearance result elsewhere.
Retain a concise pilot record with the sample approval. Use it at the launch readiness review and coordinate the next order through NANOLAB Private Label.
