Nano Coating for Vehicle Glass: What to Check
Match a glass coating to the application area, prepare the surface correctly and assess visibility and wiper behaviour after installation.

Visibility comes first
Automotive glass is not a single use case. A side window, exterior windscreen and coated mirror may have different requirements. Use a product specifically suitable for the intended glass and check any restrictions involving wipers, cameras, sensors or existing surface treatments.
Do not assume a general ceramic coating can be placed anywhere on the windscreen because it works on paint.
Prepare and apply consistently
Remove contamination using compatible glass preparation methods. Identify mineral deposits or damage before coating; protection does not remove them. Keep the surface dry and follow the product’s application, levelling and curing instructions.
Inspect carefully for smears and uneven residue under changing light. A film that looks acceptable in the workshop may affect visibility when light strikes at another angle.
Check aftercare and use
Follow the permitted timing for water exposure and wiper operation. Assess visibility and wiper behaviour safely before normal use. If chatter or smearing occurs, investigate the glass preparation, blade condition and product compatibility rather than adding more coating automatically. Maintain the glass and wipers together, using compatible cleaning products and avoiding abrasive improvisation.
