Identify bottlenecks in lighting, preparation space and inspection access before promising dates.

Coating schedules can fail because several jobs need the same inspection area, lighting or preparation equipment at once. Planning only technician hours hides those constraints. Map shared resources alongside the work sequence before confirming dates.
List the spaces and equipment needed at each stage. Include inspection access and any product-specific waiting arrangement. Distinguish tasks that can happen independently from tasks that depend on the same resource. Do not assume unused floor space is automatically suitable for a particular stage.
For example, two vehicles may be ready for final inspection at the same time even though their earlier work did not overlap. Reserve that inspection capacity in advance. Build handover points into the schedule so a resource becomes available after the required check, not merely when a technician leaves the area.
An unexpected preparation issue can shift downstream demand for space and equipment. Update the schedule and customer expectations rather than compressing the approved application process. Record recurring conflicts so the workshop can decide whether training, workflow changes or additional capacity would help. The aim is a practical schedule that reflects how the work is actually performed, not a fully booked calendar whose promises depend on every job following the best-case estimate.
List equipment or spaces that can block progress, such as the wash area, correction bay, inspection position and protected application space. Allocate the actual stages that need them rather than assigning the whole job a single start and finish time.
If two jobs need the same space, decide which stage can move without compromising its process. Do not assume that application can be shifted to an unsuitable area merely because the schedule is crowded. Include time for cleaning and resetting shared equipment where required. Review the schedule when inspection changes a job's scope. This makes delays visible early and reduces the temptation to skip a readiness check to keep an optimistic booking calendar intact.
