Planning Nano Coating for a Framed Shower

Framed enclosures bring glass, metal or plastic profiles and seals close together. The coating and preparation process should be designed around those material boundaries.

Identify the frame finish

Check whether profiles are painted, anodised, plated or made from another material. Keep their care restrictions alongside the glass instructions. A cleaner or coating suitable for the glazing may be unsuitable for the surrounding frame.

Plan cleaning and preparation

Inspect the lower frame and accessible corners for accumulated residue. Follow the enclosure manufacturer’s guidance for cleaning those areas without damaging seals or drainage features. Do not dismantle the frame or force tools into concealed spaces as part of ordinary coating preparation.

Keep the scope visible

Record which glass faces are treated and which profiles remain outside the application. After curing, maintain the glass and frame using their respective approved methods. If recurring marks originate from the frame area, investigate that source rather than repeatedly treating the broad glass panel. Provide photographs showing the boundary when requesting support.
