A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
A distorted reflection can come from panel shape or finish texture rather than remaining swirl marks. Identify the type of change before adding another correction stage.

Use a straight, recognisable reflected object and keep the viewing position consistent. Note whether the distortion follows the panel contour, a repair area or a local surface texture. Broad reflection movement and fine scratch lines are different observations.
Move deliberately through suitable lighting and inspect the same area after approved residue removal. Keep the dry condition consistent. A single photograph can exaggerate or hide texture depending on angle and reflected surroundings.
Routine swirl correction should not silently become texture levelling or body repair. Those tasks require their own assessment, suitable equipment and paint-preservation decisions. Do not chase a panel-shape issue with additional fine polish simply because the reflected line still bends.
Describe the accepted clarity and the remaining texture or shape in the job record. Compare the test result with nearby paint where useful. If matching texture is required after refinishing, coordinate that requirement with the repair process rather than treating maximum gloss as the only goal.
No. Polishing does not establish or repair the panel’s geometry. Distinguish surface marks, texture and shape before deciding what further work can achieve.
