Coordinating PPF and Coating After Body Repair
Plan paint readiness, film replacement and ceramic coating records after a vehicle panel has been repaired or repainted.

A body repair can change both the paint and the protection system on a panel. The return to PPF and ceramic coating should be coordinated with the refinisher and installer rather than treated as a simple repeat of the original job.
Identify the affected areas
Record which panels were repaired, which film was removed and whether adjacent protection was disturbed. Keep the previous coverage map if available. Do not assume a repaired bumper still has the same coating or film as the rest of the car.
Obtain the refinisher’s guidance on when washing, polishing, film and protective products are permitted for the exact paint system.
Reassess before reinstallation
Inspect the accepted repair for defects and residue. Agree any correction with the refinisher and film installer. Prepare the surface according to the film’s adhesion requirements and disclose any temporary products applied during the repair process.
After film installation, confirm its readiness before applying a compatible NANOLAB coating. Avoid choosing a coating date that conflicts with the film or paint instructions.
Update the vehicle record
List the replacement film, coating identity and application date for the repaired area. Explain any temporary differences in washing restrictions across the vehicle and provide a practical routine that respects all affected surfaces.
Use repainted-panel coating guidance and PPF delivery inspection. Clear records make later maintenance easier and prevent old protection dates from being mistaken for the condition of a newly repaired panel.
