A multi-day correction and coating job needs a sequence built around dependencies. A calendar with one task per day may look organized while hiding the checks that determine whether the next stage can begin. Plan the work from inspection through customer collection.
Record the initial appearance assessment and agreed correction scope. Treat preparation and refinement estimates as provisional until the relevant inspection or test area is complete. Explain which customer expectations can affect the amount of work rather than promising a fixed result from photographs alone.
Use the selected product's current instructions for application and any waiting requirements. Do not insert a universal curing period copied from another coating. Identify where the vehicle will remain between stages and how adjacent workshop activity might affect the work area.
For example, a vehicle moving from correction to coating needs a defined readiness check, not simply a change of technician. Include product identity, surface zones and open issues in the handover. Leave time for final inspection and a clear customer explanation. Review the schedule when conditions change, and communicate the revised collection expectation. The plan should make dependencies visible so the team can adapt responsibly instead of compressing an approved procedure to preserve an earlier calendar promise.
At the end of each day, record completed zones, remaining tasks, product status and how the vehicle will be protected from unrelated workshop activity. Separate areas that are corrected from those that are finally prepared or coated.
Before restarting, inspect for dust, moisture, new contact marks and any change in conditions. Do not assume that a surface remains ready because it passed inspection the previous evening. If another team moved or worked on the vehicle, add that history to the record. Build the schedule around the exact product's requirements and the agreed finish standard. The overnight checkpoint should make restarting predictable without relying on memory or compressing required stages to recover lost time.
