One-Step Paint Enhancement: Write an Acceptance Sample

A one-step service needs a clear visual endpoint. An acceptance sample helps the customer understand the improvement without implying complete removal of every defect.

Choose a representative area

Select a sound section that reflects the vehicle’s typical condition, while documenting panels with different histories. Use an appropriate polish and pad test. Do not demonstrate only the easiest patch and imply that every panel will respond identically.

Inspect the real finish

Remove residue using a compatible method and view the section under agreed inspection conditions. Show remaining deep marks alongside the improvement in wash marring or clarity. Avoid adding a glaze to the sample if the service is being sold as correction alone.

Carry the sample into the job

Record the accepted appearance, process and limitations. Use it as a reference while allowing for genuinely different panels. At delivery, compare representative sections rather than claiming that one-step has a universal technical meaning across all workshops.

Frequently asked question

Does one-step mean a fixed amount of scratch removal?

No. It describes a service or process structure; the inspected test result defines what that process achieves on the actual finish.
