A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Separate routine cleaning and protection renewal from abrasive correction, and choose polishing frequency from actual defects and paint history.

Abrasive polishing should not be scheduled simply because a calendar interval has elapsed. It removes material from the finish to change defects. The need for that work depends on condition, previous correction and the owner’s appearance goal.
A car that looks less fresh may need washing, decontamination or renewed protection rather than correction. Inspect clean dry paint before choosing an abrasive response.
Loss of water beading alone does not establish that scratches need polishing. Surface contamination and protective-product condition are separate questions.
Repeated correction accumulates over the vehicle’s life. Record earlier work, repairs and areas previously treated more aggressively.
A thickness gauge can support assessment, but ordinary readings do not automatically isolate remaining clear coat or define a universal number of future polishing services.
If only a small area has a new defect, assess that area rather than automatically repeating full-vehicle correction. Existing protection may need a coordinated repair after abrasion.
Where the general finish remains acceptable, preserving it and improving maintenance can be the better choice.
Use suitable washing and drying methods, clean contact materials and prompt compatible contamination removal. These practices help limit the defects that trigger another polishing decision.
At each service, document whether the work was cleaning, light refinement or stronger correction. The word detail alone does not preserve that useful history.
A sensible polishing interval is therefore conditional: inspect and correct only when a worthwhile achievable improvement justifies the work within the paint’s limits. Routine care should maintain the result, not create a recurring obligation to remove more finish every few months.
