A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Temporary covers used during a building move can obscure contact marks and cleaning residues. Include their use in the care history of coated lift panels.

Identify the cover material and how it is attached. Follow the lift, finish and coating guidance for permitted contact and cleaning. Do not assume that a soft-looking cover is clean or appropriate for every decorative surface.
Record the visible condition of relevant panels under consistent lighting. Note existing marks so that the removal inspection has a useful baseline. Keep the record connected to the panel locations.
Coordinate with the responsible moving or building team. Avoid improvising attachment points or adding cleaners without review. Record the period of covering and any event that could affect the surface, such as moisture or abrasive debris.
Inspect after the covers are removed and the approved cleaning step is complete. Document marks in context before attempting additional treatment. A cover-contact pattern is evidence to investigate, rather than proof of a particular coating defect.
First identify the actual outer finish and use its approved care or repair process. Polishing can alter the surface and remove evidence needed to understand the mark.
