Prepare for the first wash using the coating’s real care dates, then maintain the vehicle through gentle cleaning, drying and condition-based inspection.
First washing is not the same as full cure
A coating can reach a permitted washing stage before full curing is complete. Conversely, feeling dry or reaching a tack-free stage does not mean detergent washing is allowed. Use the product and application record to determine the actual schedule.
Current NANOLAB MATRIX, BEAST, BEAST PRO and BEAST 365 pages list first washing after 14 days and full cure at 30 days. Earlier stages differ by formula. Do not replace those instructions with a generic seven-day summer rule or assume every coating worldwide follows the same timetable.
If contamination appears before the wash date
Rain, bird droppings and sap may require attention while curing continues. Contact the installer promptly for the response appropriate to the product and stage. Avoid both leaving problematic contamination indefinitely and improvising strong cleaners or abrasive rubbing on a fresh installation.
Record when the exposure occurred and photograph visible marks. That information helps distinguish deposits from a finish defect needing assessment.
Keep the first permitted wash simple
Use a compatible pH-neutral automotive shampoo at the stated dilution. Remove loose grit before gentle contact washing, keep wash media clean and use separate wheel tools. Rinse thoroughly before products dry and finish with suitable clean drying towels or clean forced air where appropriate.
Do not make the first wash a test of strong chemistry, mechanical clay treatment or several maintenance layers. A consistent routine makes the new coating easier to assess.
Maintain according to condition and instructions
Inspect after cleaning. Reduced beading can result from road film, minerals or residue, so investigate before adding a topper. Use maintenance products only where compatible and justified. Keep records of inspections, local repairs and any obligations in the applicable written warranty or service programme.
