Preparing for the First Wash After Ceramic Coating
Use the installation's actual first-wash date and a gentle cleaning process without confusing wash readiness with full cure.

Start with the installation record
Ask which coating was applied, when application finished and when detergent washing is allowed. The first-wash date can differ from full cure. For example, current NANOLAB MATRIX and BEAST information lists first washing at 14 days while full cure continues to 30 days.
Do not shorten the interval simply because the weather is warm or the surface feels dry. Follow the instructions supplied for the specific product and installation.
Keep the first wash straightforward
Prepare clean equipment, compatible pH-neutral automotive shampoo and suitable drying tools. Remove loose dirt before gentle contact washing. Use the stated dilution, avoid allowing products to dry on the surface and rinse thoroughly.
Do not make this first wash an experiment with multiple boosters, strong cleaners or mechanical decontamination. These can complicate the assessment of a new coating.
If contamination appears earlier
Bird droppings or accidental dirty water may need attention before the planned wash date. Contact the installer promptly for a method appropriate to the curing stage rather than leaving damaging contamination indefinitely or scrubbing fresh coating. After the permitted wash, inspect for residue, spots or unusual behaviour and report concerns with photographs and a description of the cleaning process.
