Transfer vehicle status, completed panels, product references and curing requirements clearly when a coating job changes hands.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A shift handover can create uncertainty if the next installer cannot tell which panels are complete or which stage is in progress. Use a short job-status record that stays with the vehicle. The handover should make the next safe, correct action obvious.
Distinguish washed, decontaminated, polished, prepared, coated, inspected and released. These labels should describe completed work, not work someone intended to finish. Record any area that remains outside the normal sequence, such as a repaired panel or a surface awaiting compatibility confirmation.
Use a panel map when work is divided across the vehicle. The two-installer workflow offers a related approach to preventing missed or duplicated areas.
Record the exact product, batch where available, opening history and instruction version. Include the relevant application or curing milestones with their conditions. A note saying “coated this afternoon” is too vague if the next decision depends on the product’s stated waiting period.
Do not leave unlabelled containers or used applicators as clues for the next person. Keep product storage and tool status clear at the end of the shift.
List areas requiring inspection, customer decisions or technical clarification. Record what has already been tried so that the next installer does not repeat an action without understanding its effect. Keep suspected causes separate from verified findings.
Where the vehicle remains prepared overnight, follow the overnight pause guide and reassess cleanliness before continuing. A signed handover does not guarantee the surface stayed suitable while unattended.
The receiving installer should review the vehicle and the record before starting. Resolve discrepancies while the previous installer is available where practical. Assign responsibility for the next inspection and final release.
Connect the handover to final quality checks and the aftercare handover. Clear internal communication prevents the customer from becoming the first person to discover an unfinished or uncertain stage.
