A Portable Coating Demonstration Kit That Does Not Contaminate Its Own Samples

Organise a portable coating demonstration kit so clean references, treated samples and contaminated tools remain clearly separated.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A demonstration kit travels, gets handled and is packed away between events. Without a controlled layout, a clean reference can acquire coating residue from a neighbouring sample or used cloth and invalidate the next comparison.

Separate sample states

Label untreated references, prepared samples and treated samples. Store them in individual protective positions with their test faces protected from contact. Do not use the same loose cloth to wrap several surfaces.

Assign tool roles

Item Control
Applicators Identify product and use status
Cleaning tools Keep approved clean tools separate from used ones
Liquids Retain identity, labels and safe transport conditions
Reference samples Protect from product contact and handling marks

Check before each event

Inspect sample condition, product suitability and document versions. Repeat the approved baseline check where needed. A previously convincing demonstration should not be reused if its reference has changed or its history is unknown.

Reset deliberately

Record what was used and replace consumables under the approved process. Keep damaged or uncertain samples out of the active kit until reviewed. Explain during demonstrations which observations are illustrative and which claims have separate test evidence. A well-organised kit preserves the comparison and prevents accidental cross-contamination from becoming an apparent product effect.
