Link coating jobs to the SOP version actually used so a process change can be evaluated and traced without rewriting earlier records.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Changing one step in a coating procedure can affect preparation, application or inspection. Unless each job records the version used, later results may combine two different processes without anyone noticing.
Record the changed step, reason, effective date and any evidence supporting it. Identify connected documents such as training sheets, batch forms and care instructions. A revised master file is not enough if operators still use printed copies.
Decide whether an ongoing job remains under the old procedure or transitions under a documented instruction. Do not silently combine steps from both versions. Record deviations and the person authorising the decision.
Compare relevant outcomes before and after the change while considering job mix, batches and operators. For example, a new towel-change step may coincide with a different coating batch; the improvement cannot automatically be assigned to the towel rule. Version traceability makes a better comparison possible and lets the team identify which jobs need review if the revised step later proves unsuitable.
Ask NANOLAB about your surface and intended use. For application and care, use the current instructions for the exact product.
