An elemental silicon result is not automatically a measured silica percentage. The chemical form and reporting basis matter, so preserve the laboratory's actual quantity when summarizing coating-analysis data.

Converting an elemental result into an oxide-equivalent figure involves an assumption about how the result is expressed. It does not independently prove which compounds are present. A buyer should ask the laboratory to explain any conversion and whether the method identifies chemical form or only elemental composition.
Illustrative example: a report lists silicon content, and a sales table relabels it as silica without explanation. That change can imply a composition finding the laboratory did not make. A faithful technical statement retains the analytical scope and distinguishes measurement from calculation.
Do not infer the complete formulation or protective performance from one elemental percentage. This guide does not calculate NANOLAB composition or disclose proprietary chemistry. Technical claims should match the method's capabilities and the actual finished product tested, including the sample state and preparation.
Ask NANOLAB about the exact product and intended use. Use the current product documentation for formulation-specific instructions.
