From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Removing coating specimens for inspection changes their exposure history. Record when they leave and return, and follow the method's requirements for handling and evaluation so that inspection time is not silently counted as active exposure.

A trial may involve photographs, measurements or destructive checks at planned intervals. Those activities should be scheduled and documented before testing begins. The record needs to distinguish elapsed calendar time, programmed exposure and time spent outside the apparatus, particularly when samples follow different inspection paths.
Illustrative example: one panel is removed for a lengthy analysis while another remains in the chamber. A report that labels both with the same calendar duration can conceal different exposure histories. The comparison should use the actual records and describe the interruption rather than assuming the samples experienced identical conditions.
Do not improvise inspection breaks that conflict with the agreed method. This guide does not define an allowable interruption length. The laboratory must determine whether a deviation affects validity, comparability or the wording of the final report.
