From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
A surface-wetting screening result can help organize preparation checks, but it cannot guarantee that a particular coating will adhere in service. The proposed coating system still needs its own compatibility and performance assessment.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge
Treat the screening method as one piece of evidence about the tested surface at that moment. The test liquid, technique, surface condition and interpretation influence what can be concluded. A numerical screening value should not silently become a universal passing threshold for all substrates, coatings and exposure conditions.
Illustrative example: a prepared panel meets a workshop's screening criterion, but the proposed coating has never been approved for its existing finish. The screening result does not resolve that missing compatibility evidence. The next step remains a documented system assessment, not automatic release for application.
Do not apply test inks to customer surfaces unless the method and resulting surface treatment are authorized. Avoid inventing a minimum dyne value for NANOLAB products. Technical support should define the relevance of a screening result to the exact product and substrate combination.
