Coordinate coating readiness, cover contact and the boat's storage plan before winter shrink-wrapping.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Winter shrink-wrapping changes access to a boat for an extended period. If ceramic coating is planned beforehand, the installer and storage provider need to coordinate curing, inspection and cover contact. Wrapping is not an automatic substitute for the coating’s required conditions.
Confirm cleaning, repairs, coating and wrapping dates before work begins. Check the product’s requirements for exposure and contact during curing. A tight storage deadline should lead to a revised plan, not an unsupported assumption that the wrap can be fitted immediately.
Have the wrapping and storage arrangements designed by the responsible qualified provider, including appropriate ventilation and access. Do not modify those arrangements based solely on a ceramic coating claim.
Complete the accepted finish inspection and photograph representative areas. Record any panels excluded or awaiting work. Check that contamination and water have been addressed through the agreed preparation and storage process.
Where covering materials may touch the finish, discuss compatibility and movement with the provider. Coating does not make grit trapped beneath a cover harmless or prevent every rubbing mark during storage.
Retain the coating name, dates, storage details and care instructions together. Review NANOLAB MARINE for the selected system’s application and maintenance guidance.
When the wrap is removed, inspect before cleaning changes the evidence. Record any contact marks or unusual deposits and choose a compatible response. A pre-storage record makes that inspection more useful because the owner can compare the spring condition with a documented finish rather than memory alone.
