Uneven Water Behaviour Between Coated Panels
Compare panel angle, contamination and treatment history before deciding that differences in beading indicate an installation defect.

Panels do not experience the same conditions
Roofs and bonnets retain water differently from doors. Lower panels collect more road film, while particular areas may receive stronger sunlight or repeated handling. These differences can change visible water behaviour even when the same coating was applied.
Start by checking the surface map. Film, paint and plastic may have received different products or may respond differently to the same compatible product.
Clean before comparing
Use a consistent wash and rinse, then observe similar surfaces at comparable angles. Review whether a drying aid, maintenance spray or local cleaner was used only on certain areas. Such treatments change the outermost surface and can explain a contrast.
Look for accompanying streaks, high spots or damage. A water test alone does not identify the cause.
Resolve the specific difference
If contamination is likely, choose an appropriate targeted treatment. If installation coverage or a later repair is in question, ask the installer to inspect the records and affected areas. Avoid coating over every panel merely to make droplets look identical. A useful diagnosis explains why the difference appeared and whether cleaning, local correction or planned renewal is actually needed.
