Mapping a Mixed-Surface Vehicle Before Ceramic Coating
Create a surface map for vehicles combining paint, PPF, vinyl, glass and trim so every area receives a suitable NANOLAB system.

A vehicle can contain several visibly similar but technically different surfaces. Clear-coated paint, glossy film and glossy plastic may all reflect light strongly, yet they should not be treated as interchangeable during coating selection.
Identify each material and finish
Walk around the clean vehicle and record paint, PPF, vinyl, glass, wheels and trim. Note matte or satin finishes, repaired panels and unknown materials. Ask about previous coatings and film installation records where available.
Mark uncertain areas for clarification before application. Do not use a hidden test on one material as proof of suitability for every surface on the vehicle.
Match products to the map
Compare each area with the current product instructions. The NANOLAB MATRIX range describes different compatibility and finish options, while specialised products may have a narrower purpose. Select the exact product rather than relying on the range name alone.
Record surfaces that are excluded from treatment. Keep controls, friction surfaces and other areas outside the approved application scope free from coating overspray or accidental transfer.
Turn the map into a work sequence
Separate applicators and towels where different products are used. Identify transition lines and inspect them for residue. At handover, provide a record of which treatment was used on which area and the relevant aftercare.
This is especially useful when a customer later asks for a local repair or maintenance treatment. Continue with partial coating coverage and PPF finish selection to make boundaries and material differences clear before work begins.
