Degreasing Stainless Steel Before Nano Coating

Oily residues from handling, cooking or previous care products can complicate preparation. The degreasing method must suit the actual finish and the coating instructions.

Identify the source and surface

Record whether residue comes from everyday use, fabrication or an applied polish. Check for a factory clear coat or anti-fingerprint treatment. A process suitable for bare industrial stainless may be inappropriate for an appliance exterior.

Use the approved preparation

Select the specified product and follow its application, residue-removal and drying directions. Use clean dedicated tools and change them as contamination accumulates. Avoid wiping the same loaded cloth repeatedly across the panel or introducing an unapproved product that leaves a protective film.

Inspect before application

Check the dry surface under suitable lighting for streaks and remaining marks. Keep clean hands and unrelated tools away from the prepared area. If the surface still appears uneven, resolve preparation with the supplier rather than applying coating over uncertainty. Record the accepted method so the process can be repeated consistently on other comparable panels.
