Rain on a Fresh Ceramic Coating: What to Do Next
Respond to early water exposure using the coating's actual curing stage and installer guidance rather than assuming rain always ruins the installation.

Record the timing and exposure
Note the product, when application finished and when rain reached the surface. Light exposure after a permitted release stage is different from prolonged dirty water on a coating that has just been applied. A universal ruined-or-safe answer is not reliable.
Move the vehicle to a suitable protected place if practical. Avoid unnecessary rubbing or applying cleaners while the appropriate response is uncertain.
Contact the installer promptly
Use the product-specific instructions for early water exposure and drying. Do not automatically perform a full shampoo wash before the permitted date. Equally, do not assume contamination must remain until that date if the installer provides a compatible response.
Take photographs of visible spotting and describe the water source. Rain mixed with dust or runoff may leave different residue from clean water.
Inspect after the approved response
Some exposure may leave removable deposits; persistent marks need assessment. Do not jump directly to polishing or full recoating without evidence. Keep the original first-wash and full-cure schedule unless NANOLAB or the installer directs a change for the specific situation. Clear records help determine whether local cleaning, correction or no additional treatment is appropriate.
