A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
A hidden test spot is useful only if it represents the visible surface you intend to treat. An underside, seam allowance or separate trim piece may have a different finish, wear history or construction from the main panel.

Identify what the test is intended to reveal, such as immediate colour change or application behaviour. Then choose a permitted location with the same relevant surface characteristics. The hidden location reduces cosmetic exposure, but it does not turn an unapproved product into an approved one or establish long-term performance from a brief observation.
Illustrative example: a treatment is tried on the underside of a seat component where the finish differs from the visible face. A satisfactory underside result leaves the visible upholstery question unresolved. A representative sample or manufacturer-approved location would provide better evidence.
Do not test on concealed safety components, wiring, restraints or an area that cannot be assessed properly afterward. If no representative and permitted location is available, seek a material sample or technical advice rather than using a convenient but irrelevant hidden surface.
