NANOLAB can add graphene and borophene together to create a combined coating formulation.
Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge
NANOLAB can add graphene and borophene together to create a combined coating formulation. This gives customers another formulation option when developing a coating for a defined surface, application process and market. The useful starting point is to understand what is being combined and what the finished product must achieve.
Graphene refers to a two-dimensional carbon material, while borophene refers to two-dimensional boron structures. Their names describe materials, not a complete coating recipe. In our combined approach, additives are incorporated into the coating formulation. The binder, carrier and other ingredients remain part of the system that is applied and cured. Including both names does not mean that the finished surface becomes a pure sheet of either material, or that the two form a particular atomic structure.
A useful project brief identifies the substrate, desired appearance, application method and customer priorities. From there, the proposed combination can be evaluated as a finished formulation. Greater hardness, longer service life, easier cleaning or any other advantage requires relevant evidence. Graphene and borophene also have marketing value: they are recognisable or attention-grabbing buzzwords that can help introduce the product. We acknowledge that role openly, while keeping the explanation of ingredients separate from the proof of performance.
Ask NANOLAB about a combined graphene and borophene coating for your project. We can discuss adding both additives to the same formula and clarify the proposed specification, application requirements and evidence available for that particular product.
