Preventing Dressing Residue from Reaching Prepared Paint
Control tyre and trim dressing transfer during preparation so clean paint, towels and applicators remain ready for coating.

Tyre and trim dressing can reach paint through overspray, hands, towels or tools. The transfer may be difficult to see, particularly on a glossy prepared surface. Job sequencing helps keep this contamination out of the coating stage.
Separate the tasks physically
Keep dressing products and used applicators away from the clean coating station. Do not use the same towels for dressed trim and panel preparation. If different technicians are working, agree which areas are complete and where products are being applied.
Avoid spraying near panels that are already prepared. Use the dressing’s approved method and control its application so excess material does not migrate onto adjacent surfaces.
Check contact points
Inspect handles, panel edges and areas touched while moving equipment. Change or clean gloves appropriately between dirty work and clean application. A clean towel placed on a dressed tyre or contaminated bench is no longer part of the clean supply.
If transfer is suspected, repeat the suitable cleaning and inspection process for the affected area. Do not assume a quick dry wipe has restored readiness.
Verify the handover to coating
Confirm that dirty finishing tasks are complete and that the correct clean applicators are available. Keep the bottle identity and surface map clear where more than one NANOLAB product is used.
