Product leaving a bottle is not always product reaching the applicator. A dispenser can retain liquid, drip onto the neck or make the final portion difficult to use. These losses belong in a practical packaging trial.
Choose an endpoint such as mass delivered to the intended applicator under a specified sequence. Keep spills, closure residue and unused remainder separate. Bottle mass loss alone combines these outcomes.
Include opening, dispensing, pausing, reclosing and storing the package as instructed. Use representative operators and the actual product with suitable precautions. Record behaviour at high and low fill levels.
Evaporation and measurement uncertainty may prevent perfect closure; report them instead of assigning every missing gram to a spill.
A slower dispenser may reduce drips but make routine work less practical. Compare useful yield, handling time and cleanliness together. For example, a redesigned tip that prevents neck residue should also be checked for consistent delivery and reliable reclosing. Release the package based on the intended application process, not only on the appearance of a single clean demonstration pour.
