Commercial vehicle graphics need to remain readable as well as clean. A coating that changes contrast, creates patchy reflections or leaves residue along small lettering can undermine that purpose. Evaluate the complete graphic system and the van's cleaning routine before choosing additional protection.
Obtain the film, ink and laminate details from the graphics supplier. Identify reflective elements and any specialist markings, which may have separate requirements. Do not treat them as ordinary painted panels or assume that a product suitable for clear laminate suits every graphic.
Review an approved sample after curing. Check company names, contact information and fine text from realistic viewing distances, in both shade and brighter light. Inspect edges and cut letters for visible deposits. The useful question is whether the treatment preserves the intended design while supporting approved maintenance.
If compatibility information is incomplete, use the graphics supplier's established cleaning routine while the question is resolved. An uncertain coating trial on an entire fleet is an expensive way to obtain basic compatibility information.
Account for the van's working schedule and the coating's curing conditions. Arrange a protected period when required rather than promising immediate unrestricted service. Give drivers and wash providers a concise list of approved products and methods.
Document replacement graphics and accident repairs, because those panels may have a different construction from the original installation. Inspect readability and edge condition during maintenance, not just water behaviour. Coating cannot restore faded printing, repair a torn logo or secure lifting lettering. Refer those defects to the graphics installer before planning a fresh treatment.
