Bulk Coating Container Geometry: Check That the Filling Station Can Receive the Actual Pack

Confirm the physical dimensions and handling requirements of the actual supply pack before planning a filling station around its nominal capacity. Equal-volume containers can have different footprints, outlets and access needs.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

The key distinction

The approved layout must accommodate the supplied configuration and the equipment's requirements. A purchasing decision should not rely on a generic drum or container image if the transfer arrangement depends on specific dimensions.

Practical checks

  1. Obtain the supplier's actual pack specification.
  2. Compare it with the approved station layout and equipment interfaces.
  3. Resolve differences before committing to the bulk format.

Example

Illustrative example: two containers hold the same nominal volume, but only one fits the station's intended receiving space and connection arrangement. The capacity label alone would not reveal that difference.

Scope and limits

Do not improvise lifting, stacking or support arrangements. Qualified personnel should confirm the handling system and applicable equipment limits for the actual pack.
