A full polishing range.
From cutting and one-step correction to final finishing.
Sanding abrasives and polishing pads remove material through different contact systems. Understand the distinction before treating a compound as an equivalent sanding grade.

In sanding, abrasive particles are fixed to a backing. During polishing, the liquid, pad and tool create a changing contact condition. Pad loading and product distribution therefore matter. A compound’s sanding-mark removal claim describes a tested capability, not a one-to-one conversion between its cut and a paper grade.
If assessing a finishing process, document the starting surface, sanding refinement where applicable, tool, pad and liquid. Compare the inspected endpoint after residue removal. A fast initial gloss change is not evidence that the earlier abrasive pattern has been fully removed.
Change one component at a time on a suitable test surface. Record remaining marks and the refinement needed. Do not transfer a bodyshop sanding procedure to an unknown customer panel merely because the final compound bottle is the same.
Only a verified process for the particular surface can establish which steps are needed. A bottle claim alone does not establish that an earlier scratch pattern is ready for polishing.
