A new coating variant needs more than a new product page. The website's images, comparison tables, menus and enquiry paths must identify it consistently. A release checklist helps prevent a partially updated range from confusing buyers.
Check the name, pack image, variant description and relevant identifiers. Confirm that the information describes the final approved offer. Do not reuse another product's properties or instructions simply because the new item belongs to the same family.
Review category placement, navigation, comparison pages and document links. If a selection tool recommends products, check that its rules match the approved intended uses. For example, a variant with a different finish scope should not inherit every recommendation assigned to an existing product without review.
Confirm that contact forms preserve the selected product context and that purchasing information reflects actual availability. Inspect the page on mobile as well as desktop. Record unresolved issues and decide whether they affect release. After publication, open the public page and follow its important links. A completed edit in the administration screen is not the same as a correct customer journey. Keep the release record so later revisions can be checked against a known, reviewed version.
Before release, verify the variant name, product identifier, pack sizes, compatible surfaces, instruction links and relationship to existing products. Confirm whether it replaces an item, adds an alternative or belongs in a documented system.
Check comparison tables, navigation filters, image captions and order confirmations as well as the new page itself. For example, adding a matte-compatible variant should not silently broaden the stated use of the older glossy-only product. Test the mobile enquiry or purchase path for the exact variant. A successful release makes the new choice understandable without creating contradictory information elsewhere in the catalogue or allowing buyers to order a product whose documentation is still missing.
