A trial that finds no clear difference can still be useful.

A trial that finds no clear difference can still be useful. It may show that the tested products perform similarly for the chosen task, or that the trial was not able to resolve a smaller difference.
Describe the specimens, conditions and observed variation. Do not turn an inconclusive comparison into proof that graphene never contributes anything, and do not hide it because the result does not support a preferred marketing story. The conclusion should match the trial’s scope.
If the measured property is central to the purchase, consider whether a better-controlled or more relevant evaluation would answer the question. If both products already meet the practical requirement, compare workflow, support and commercial fit instead. More testing is useful only when it resolves a real decision, not when it is repeated until one sample appears to win.
An honest result can support a good product decision without a dramatic superiority claim. Graphene’s marketing appeal and the coating’s measured performance should remain separate, visible parts of that decision.
