Graphene Sliding-Angle Demonstrations: Record When the Droplet Moves

A droplet that beads and a droplet that starts to move are different observations.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A droplet that beads and a droplet that starts to move are different observations. If a graphene coating is marketed through water movement, the demonstration should make the test setup clear.

Define the observation

Record the droplet volume, panel condition and the way the panel is tilted. State whether the result is a measured angle or a visual demonstration. Repeat the procedure consistently and avoid selecting a single droplet that happened to move first. A clean, newly cured panel should not be presented as though it represents every stage of service.

Connect it to the customer question

A movement demonstration may help explain a surface behaviour, but it does not prove that all water will leave every vehicle geometry. Panel orientation, recesses and contamination introduce different conditions. Describe the result as observed and retain the product’s drying and care guidance.

The useful claim is specific: what moved, on which surface and under what setup. Keep that evidence separate from broader statements about graphene, self-cleaning or complete freedom from water marks.
