Graphene Gloss Claims: Separate Paint Correction from Coating Application

A before-and-after image can overstate a graphene coating's contribution if polishing occurred between the photographs.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A before-and-after image can overstate a graphene coating’s contribution if polishing occurred between the photographs. Surface preparation may account for much of the visible change, so the stages need to be recorded separately.

Photograph the intermediate condition

Capture the original finish, the prepared finish before coating and the final coated result. Use consistent lighting, exposure and viewing angles where possible. If instrumental gloss is measured, retain the method and specimen details. Do not describe the entire improvement from neglected paint to finished vehicle as the additive’s effect.

Make a useful sales explanation

A detailing service can legitimately deliver a combined result from preparation and coating. Explain the contribution of each stage at the level supported by observation. Customers benefit from knowing that a coating is applied to a prepared surface rather than being told that graphene automatically corrects scratches or restores damaged paint.

A transparent sequence strengthens the demonstration. Show what changed during preparation and what was observed after the specified coating, then avoid assigning all of the visual result to one ingredient.
