Graphene Cleaning-Effort Trials: Measure the Work, Not Just the After Photo

A clean final panel does not show how much effort was required to clean it.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

A clean final panel does not show how much effort was required to clean it. If easier maintenance is the proposed benefit of a graphene coating, the comparison should record the cleaning process.

Choose a repeatable task

Use comparable soil exposure, dwell time, cleaning product and tools. Define the endpoint before testing, such as an agreed visual condition under consistent lighting. Record the number of passes or time needed to reach that endpoint, while respecting the coating and substrate instructions.

Include the unsuccessful attempts

If one product needs a second cleaning step, keep that in the record. Do not compare a carefully cleaned treated panel with an untreated panel photographed before equivalent cleaning. Also distinguish the complete coating’s performance from the additive’s contribution; the latter requires a more controlled formulation comparison.

A useful demonstration shows the starting condition, the process and the result. That gives customers a practical basis for understanding a maintenance claim without relying on a glamorous after image or the graphene name alone.
