Coating Run Closure: Reconcile Liquid, Finished Packs and Remaining Material

Closing a filling run requires a clear account of the liquid supplied, accepted output and remaining material. Record approved losses and retained quantities separately rather than forcing every difference into one unexplained adjustment.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

The key distinction

The reconciliation should use compatible units and the actual measurement method. It helps identify unexplained differences, but a balanced total does not replace quality checks on the finished packs or remaining material.

Practical checks

  1. Record input quantity and accepted output on a defined basis.
  2. Identify retained, unused and documented loss quantities.
  3. Investigate the remaining difference through the approved process.

Example

Arithmetic example: ten litres enter a hypothetical run, nine litres are in accepted packs, half a litre remains and half a litre is documented elsewhere in the process. The categories should explain the full input.

Scope and limits

Do not return unused material to a supply container or combine batches without explicit technical authorization. The supplier's handling and disposition requirements remain controlling.
