Coating Kit Costing: Count Components in the Quantity Actually Used

Kit cost depends on required quantities, not merely the list of component prices. Multiples and wastage need explicit treatment.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Multiply each component's unit cost by the approved quantity per kit, then add separately justified packing costs.

Two towels at 1.50 each contribute 3.00 per kit, while one applicator at 0.80 contributes 0.80.

Decision limits

Keep illustrative arithmetic separate from actual supplier pricing and avoid unmeasured waste allowances.
