Wholesale Coating Discounts: Compare the Total Order Commitment

A lower unit price can require a larger total purchase. Evaluate both numbers and the resulting stock position.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Calculate unit price times quantity for each offer, then compare usable demand and storage constraints.

Buying 200 units at 8 costs 1,600, while 100 at 10 costs 1,000. The unit saving does not reduce the immediate cash commitment.

Decision limits

Do not choose the larger order solely from the discount percentage.
