Coating Cost per Vehicle: Include Partially Used Consumables Correctly

A consumable purchased in a large pack should be allocated by actual use, while a single-use item belongs entirely to the job that consumes it.

Updated · NANOLAB Knowledge

Practical approach

Separate reusable tools, multi-job supplies and discarded items. Record the basis used for each cost allocation.

A box of towels does not all belong to one vehicle, but a towel permanently retired after that application may be a full job cost.

Decision limits

Do not spread costs across an imaginary reuse count. Use an approved care process and observed usable life.
